Rossana Diaz Costa | Drama, Fiction

2021 | 104 minutes | Peru

Little by little, Julius loses his innocence as he discovers, but never understands, a home and a world full of inequalities and injustices.

Synopsis

Julius is an upper-class boy in Lima, Peru, in the 1950s. He lives in a palace with his aristocratic family and extensive servants. As the years go by, Julius will gradually lose his innocence as he discovers and never understands an adult world full of inequality and injustice.

Reviews

"Although the film is set in the past, the racism, discrimination, abuse of power, and sexism shown in “A World for Julius” remain sad realities not just in Peru and Latin America but throughout the world." — Cinema St. Louis
