Searching for Oscar
(En busca del Óscar)
Octavio Guerra | Documentary
2018 | 72 minutes |
A film critic and President of the Spanish Association of Film Critics, Óscar Peyrou has a peculiar method for reviews: instead of seeing films, he critiques them by their posters.
Synopsis
Óscar Peyrou is the President of the Spanish Film Press Association and delegate of FIPRESCI in Madrid. Two years ago his wife and mother of his children died. Now he lives alone in a small apartment in Madrid.
Now retired, film festivals are the driving force of his life. However, what makes Oscar famous is his peculiar method of writing his reviews: you don't need to see the film itself, just analyze its poster.
