Red Shoes
(Zapatos rojos)
Carlos Kaiser Eichelmann | Drama, Fiction
2022 | 75 minutes | Mexico, Italy
Tacho tends to his farm as life passes on. He receives news of his daughter’s death and travels to the city for her body, discovering a foreign world.
Synopsis
Life moves slowly and without much change for Tacho, an elderly man whose day to day revolves around tending to his land. But that stillness is disrupted when a phone call summons him to Mexico City.
What he discovers in the metropolis offers Tacho a chance at redemption. This poignant narrative is inspired by a 2009 art installation by Mexican artist Elina Chauvet denouncing violence against women.
