The Killing of the Pig
(La matança del porc)
Isaki Lacuesta | Documentary, Experimental
2012 | 10 minutes | Spain, United States
From one of today's most respected filmmakers, dive into the mind of an amateur filmmaker in the '70s, concocting daring alternatives to tackle the 2012 economic crisis. A thought-provoking modern classic.
Synopsis
A moral portrait of Barcelona and, by extension, Spain in the year 2012. It is the story of a real estate consultant and amateur filmmaker who, in the 1970s, fought for democracy and who now thinks it has been perverted and manipulated. He sharpens his claws and plans a couple of alternatives that could put an end to a crisis “created for us by bankers and profiteers.”
